Den 110 m lange adkomsttunnelen ble ferdigstilt i september 2019, etterfulgt av oppstart av sprengningsarbeidet på hovedtunnelens to tunnelløp i retning mot både nord og sør.

Hele Ryfast prosjektet med totalt 3 tuneller ble formelt åpnet for trafikk 22.4.2020. Dette inkluderer den lengste delen av Solbakk tunellen, som er bygd av Marti.

St Barbara is a Catholic celebration for tunnel workers. It is a tradition at Marti to celebrate December 4 with the customer and others involved in the project. At the celebration, we stop all our projects and take time for a ceremony in the tunnel. Afterwards we have a proper dinner together, preferably in the workshop of the construction site. The celebration of St Barbara is not common in Norway, but for us it is an important tradition. We have our traditions and values.
